Xano Armenter

(Las Palmas, 1956)

Born in the Canary Islands with Catalan parents (Balaguer), he studied art and design in Barcelona (Eina School 1973-80) and New York (School of Visual Arts 1981 and New York Academy 1982).

He moved to Manhattan in the midst of the rise of hip hop, the graffiti boom, and the return of painting interest in the 1980’s New York East Village.

He has works in private and public collections in Spain, United States, France, Great Britain and Japan.

Lives and works in Barcelona.
